Why we built Buyerbase
Buyerbase started as one designer's frustration with how a house purchase gets managed: in email threads, a spreadsheet and a WhatsApp group. It is now a product for the aankoopmakelaars who do it every week.
A sprint with paperwork
Buying a home in the Netherlands is a sprint with paperwork. The buyer has a mortgage adviser, a buyer agent, a notary, and a folder of PDFs that lives in three places at once. The agent, meanwhile, is running fifteen of those sprints at the same time, in a CRM that was built for selling.
The advantage lived in an inbox
We kept seeing the same thing: the agencies that win are the ones who see the house first and get the buyer ready before it goes public. That advantage lived in someone's head and someone's inbox. Buyerbase makes it a system.
A workspace around the buyer
So we built a workspace around the buyer instead of the deal. Documents, preferences, houses, viewings and the team, in one file. Under the agency's own name, because the relationship belongs to them, not to us.
The agency works in the app. The buyer works in a portal that carries the agency's brand, with their documents, viewings and saved homes in one place. Anyone on the team can see at a glance who the buyer is, where they stand and what needs to happen next.
Who it is for
Buyerbase is built for buyer agencies in the Netherlands and the people around a purchase: buyer agents, agency owners and admins, and the buyer's own mortgage advisor.
We keep the property side neutral about who is connected to a house, so the same workspace can carry rentals too: tenants, landlords and spaces rented out to companies.
How we build it
- Clear over clever. If an agent needs a tutorial, we designed it wrong. Every screen answers "where are we with this buyer?" first.
- The agency owns the relationship. White-label is not a feature tier for us, it is the point. Buyers see your name. We stay in the background.
- Data stays yours. Database and files in the EU, export any time, no lock-in. A processing agreement under Dutch law, not a 40-page policy.
- Build with, not for. Our first agencies talk to us monthly. Their workflow shapes the roadmap, not our assumptions.
Buyerbase is built by Bogdan, a designer and builder in Leiden, with the first agencies at the table.
