Buyer data
How your clients' documents are handled
Your agency owns its buyers' data. Buyerbase processes it on your instructions and for nothing else. We do not sell it, and we do not use it to train models.
The database, the uploaded documents and the application all run in the EU. The database and the files are in Ireland, the application runs in Dublin, error monitoring is in Germany and product analytics are on EU cloud.
Inside your agency, a buyer's documents are visible to the employee assigned to that buyer. Other colleagues cannot open them. The owner can request access, which needs a written reason and is recorded, and every time anyone opens or downloads a document that is recorded too. The record sits in your settings and nothing in Buyerbase can edit or delete it.
Buyer documents leave the portal after the purchase completes. You set how long that takes, so it matches your own policy rather than ours, and you can export what you need to keep first.
Buyerbase staff access to your data is restricted by policy and is recorded. When a member of our team signs in as your owner it needs a written reason, it expires on a timer, and you see it in your own settings with the reason we gave.
